We’re excited to announce that we placed in first in the 2018 BFCom Global Energy Forecasting competition, led by Dr. Tao Hong at UNC Charlotte. Our competitors included 81 teams, formed by 142 data scientists, across 26 countries. The competition measured which team could most produce the lowest MAPE on a set of electricity demand forecasting challenges. The Amperon team was led by Dr. Ydo Wexler, Chief Data Scientist.
