At Amperon we take security seriously as we oversee the security of millions of meters in over 20 countries. Our internal team is dedicated to securing customer data which is hosted on the cloud here in the United States. We are constantly looking for ways to not only improve security in our product, but also in how we conduct business on a daily basis.

The company prioritizes its commitment to security and data protection by regularly undergoing SOC 2 Type II audits, a critical measure for ensuring the effectiveness of its controls concerning security, privacy, and data integrity. PERSONNEL SECURITY
All employees complete a background check, sign a confidentiality agreement, and regularly review and acknowledge Amperon information security and data protection policies.
IDENTITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT
Employees have unique logins for all business critical systems and two-factor authentication is enforced on all critical systems. We conduct regular access audits and operate on the principle of least privilege.
In addition, employees and contractors with coding responsibilities are required to complete secure code training courses.
HARDWARE SECURITY
All employee laptops are managed, have encrypted hard drives and are monitored with antivirus software.
SECURITY EDUCATION
As part of our commitment to ensure that every member of our team understands the role they play when it comes to security, we provide ongoing security training throughout the year, including periodic phishing tests. Each new employee attends a Security training session on day one of hire to help them learn to identify threats such as social engineering and phishing.
