In line with this mission, we are excited to announce the expansion of our product coverage to include demand and net demand forecasts for North America and European ISO/RTOs on Snowflake. This expansion is a key part of our commitment to delivering accurate forecasts on an industry-leading data platform, allowing our customers to seamlessly operationalize our solutions.  

In July 2024, we launched Amperon’s demand forecasts on Snowflake’s, integrating our AI-driven load forecasting solutions into Snowflake’s robust and secure data environment. This integration gave our customers a significant advantage, allowing them to scale their power market trading analysis and embed our forecasts directly into their data environment and workflows. The ability to conduct performance analysis of Amperon’s entire history of forecast vintages and different weather vendors has already proven instrumental for our customers in optimizing trading strategies and informing better decision-making.

Building on that success, we are now expanding our coverage to include grid demand and net demand forecasts for North American and European ISO/RTOs.  

• Grid Net Demand: With the addition of net demand forecasts, customers on Snowflake can now access renewable generation forecasts, allowing them to anticipate and plan for fluctuations in net load at the grid level. As wind and solar assets continue to grow across these grids, accurately forecasting these intermittent resources is critical for tracking market movements and real-time price conditions, especially during solar ramp-downs and changes in renewable resource availability.  

• European RTOs: Our expanded coverage of grid demand and net demand in European RTOs on Snowflake reflects our commitment to meeting the demands of sophisticated market participants and helping them navigate the complexities of forecasting power demand and renewable generation.  

Predicting and managing grid demand is becoming increasingly complex due to effects of climate change, the rise of intermittent renewable energy, and surging demand driven by flexible loads and electrification.
